Why does dispatch take 7-12 working days?
Everything listed is in stock, so we are packing rather than making. Allow 7-12 working days from order to dispatch: the piece is pulled, checked against its measurements, pressed, wrapped in tissue and booked with the courier. Delivery costs £8.50 within the UK and is free over £200.00. You will get a tracking number by email when the parcel leaves us, and if a size sells out between your order and dispatch we will email you the same day with the choice of a refund or a different size.
Can I change or cancel after ordering?
Email support@crowntailoring.shop as soon as possible. If the run has not started we can amend or cancel. Once it has, you can still return the item under our returns policy.
Do you restock sold-out styles?
Sometimes. Because runs are small, a colour may not return in the same shade. Email us about a specific style and we will tell you whether it is scheduled again.
Sizing and materials
How do I choose a size?
See the size guide. Sizes run UK 6 to 20 on blocks drafted for a 168cm to 176cm figure. Take the larger size in jackets and waistcoats, the smaller in stretch trousers and skirts, and compare the flat garment measurements on each product page against a piece you already wear.
Why does the colour look slightly different from the photo?
Batches are dyed separately and screens vary. Small differences in tone are normal for tailoring and are not a fault. If a piece is clearly not as described, our returns policy covers it.
What fibres do you use?
See our materials. Each product page also lists the fibre for that style.

Will I pay customs charges?
Orders outside the UK may attract import duty or tax set by the destination country. Those are the recipient’s responsibility — we cannot calculate or refund them.

How long do I have?
14 days from delivery to change your mind, 30 days to reject faulty goods for a full refund. Full detail in the returns policy.
Care
How should I clean and store my tailoring?
See the care guide. Wool jackets, trousers, waistcoats and skirts are dry clean only, and they need cleaning far less often than people expect. Brush with a natural-bristle brush after wearing, hang on a shaped wooden hanger, and give each piece 24 hours to recover before the next wear. Steam or press with a cotton cloth at the wool setting to lift creases; ask for a hand finish at the cleaner so the lapel roll survives. Cotton shirts machine wash at 30C, line dry and iron damp. Always store clean, because moth larvae feed on soiling rather than on the wool itself, and keep cedar or lavender in the wardrobe.
